The ArcDemo macOS recorder turns a native Mac app into a clickable interactive demo: each click in the window you choose becomes a step, with the motion between steps recorded as video. It is for teams whose product, or part of it, is desktop software that browser-based demo tools can't see.

## What you can do

- Captures one app window you choose, never the rest of your screen.
- Turns every click into a step with a screenshot, plus optional motion video between steps.
- Never records what you type, key presses, labels or selected text.
- Keeps recordings encrypted on your Mac until they upload, and resumes an interrupted upload.
- Sends desktop captures to the same editor as web captures, so one demo can mix both.

## How it works

1. **Sign in.** Sign in through your browser and choose the workspace to send captures to.
2. **Grant access and pick a window.** Allow Screen Recording and Accessibility in macOS settings, then pick the app window to record.
3. **Record and upload.** Click through the workflow, pause when you need to, then stop. The demo opens in the editor.

### Does ArcDemo capture Windows apps?

The desktop recorder is macOS-only today. You can record a Windows app as a video demo with the Chrome extension.

### What does the macOS recorder upload?

Screenshots and motion video of the selected window and where you clicked. App names and window titles stay on your Mac.
